UltraTech Centre of Excellence Inaugurated at Kalinga University
Raipur: Kalinga University marked a significant milestone today with the grand inauguration of the UltraTech Centre of Excellence, established through a collaborative initiative between UltraTech Cement and Kalinga University. The Centre is the University's eighth Centre of Excellence and has been established to equip Civil Engineering students with industry-relevant technical knowledge, hands-on training, and career-oriented skills.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Chief Guest ShriYashwant Kumar,Principal Accountant General (AG office) and Guest of HonourShriSheetanshuShekhar, General Manager, NABARD along with the dignitaries from UltraTech.

Dignitaries toured the newly inaugurated Centre of Excellence following a program gracefully hosted by Lt. VibhaChandrakar, In-Charge, Dean of Student Welfare. The welcome dance was performed by Ms. Abhismita Roy, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science
Chief Guest ShriYashwant Kumarhighlightedthat the inauguration of the UltraTech Centre of Excellence goes beyond launching a new facility. He emphasized that it represents a significant milestone toward realizing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat by building a highly skilled workforce for the construction industry.
Guest of Honor ShriSheetanshuShekhar, General Manager, NABARD, stated that the Centre of Excellence will play a crucial role in preparing the youth to meet future industrial challenges.
In his remarks, Registrar Dr. Sandeep Gandhi emphasized that the Centre has been designed keeping future industry requirements in mind and will equip Kalinga University students with the technical excellence and professional competence needed to meet global industry standards..
The Centre will have Industry-oriented training programs, guest lectures by industry experts, internship and placement support, live industrial projects and case studies, skill enhancement and certification programmes, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), collaborative research and consultancy, entrepreneurship and start-up mentoring, industrial visits to manufacturing facilities, and technical fests, hackathons, conferences, workshops, and seminars,
Shri Pratik Jha, Zonal Head, UltraTech Cement, stated that UltraTech Cement has always been committed to skill development and quality technical education. He expressed confidence that the Centre would nurture highly competent civil engineers equipped to meet evolving industry demands.
Shri Raman Sharma, Regional Head, UltraTech Cement, emphasized that the Centre would foster innovation, research, and quality-driven education while strengthening the bridge between academia and industry.
Shri Pankaj Tiwari, Director, Corporate Relations, highlighted that this collaboration would provide students with valuable opportunities for internships and placements. He added that the on-campus Centre of Excellence would enable students to gain practical exposure through live demonstrations and industry-oriented training.
The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Corporate Trainer Ms.Lipsa Dash. The session was attended by Mr. Manish Agrawal, AGM of BigMint; Mr. Suyash Jain, Senior Analyst at BigMint; Mr. NeerajPandey, CSR Head of Real Group; all Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students of the University.
