NMDC Launches Three-Month Campaign Ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026
Hyderabad, 25 August 2026 //// NMDC Limited has commenced a Three-Month Campaign as a prelude to Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2026 , in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The campaign aims to promote awareness and reinforce the values of integrity, transparency, probity and good governance across the organization.
As part of the campaign, the Vigilance Department of NMDC conducted a Two-Day Capacity Building Programme recently at NMDC Head Office, Hyderabad. The programme was organized to enhance awareness and build capacity among employees on key focus areas identified by the CVC.
The session was graced by the presence of Shri Anurag Kapil, Director (Finance), NMDC and CVO, NMDC. In his address, Director (Finance) emphasized the close linkage between Vigilance and Finance functions and stressed the importance of recording clear, specific and well-reasoned rationale and justification on official files to ensure transparency, accountability and sound decision-making.
During the concluding session, Shri C. Neelakanta Reddy, CVO, while addressing the participants, highlighted the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2026 – “Probity for Prosperity” and emphasized the need to inculcate the core values of transparency, ethics and accountability in all organizational processes. He urged the participants to actively contribute towards strengthening NMDC’s preparedness and to ensure its effective participation and representation in line with the CVC’s emphasis and guidance for VAW 2026.

The programme featured eminent speakers and domain experts from various fields, who shared their knowledge and practical insights on the key areas, including IT & Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene, Public Procurement of Goods & Services under GFR-2017, GeM – New Features & Functionalities, and Conduct Rules & Conflict of Interest.
The first day featured sessions by Smt. K. Indraveni, Scientist-F & Associate Director, C-DAC, on Cyber Security & Cyber Hygiene, and Shri D. Brahma Reddy, Associate Professor, University of Delhi & Ex- Faculty, ISTM, New Delhi, on Public Procurement of Goods & Services under GFR-2017.
The second day included sessions by Shri Kartikeya Dutta, IRSS, Dy. CMM (General), on Procurement Framework, Best Practices & Recent Developments in GeM, and Dr. Upender Vennam, Postmaster General, Kurnool Region and Ex- CVO of BDL, MIDHANI & HSL, on Model CDA Rules & Conflict of Interest.
The sessions provided participants with valuable perspectives on strengthening vigilance awareness, transparency, compliance and ethical decision-making in the discharge of their official responsibilities.
The campaign will continue with various awareness and capacity-building initiatives leading up to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and throughout the campaign period.
