Balco Hospital administered pulse polio medicine to 757 children.
BALCO Nagar, December 22, 2025 // Bharat Aluminum Company Limited (BALCO), in collaboration with the District Health Department, participated in the National Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign. Under the leadership of Dr. Vivek Sinha, Chief Medical Officer of BALCO Hospital, over 757 children were administered the Pulse Polio vaccine.
The campaign was launched at the hospital in the presence of Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer and Director of BALCO. The hospital's team of doctors and paramedical staff ensured the success of the campaign with complete dedication and commitment.
BALCO Hospital conducted vaccinations through temporary camps and mobile vans at over 10 key locations, including Bhadrapara, Kailash Nagar, Parsabhata, Checkpost, Satnam Nagar, Daihanpara, BALCO Bus Stand, Belgiri Basti, Sector 3 Durga Puja Pandal, and Sector 4 Gas Agency. Additionally, mobile vans also reached various areas to administer the Pulse Polio vaccine to children. Additionally, a door-to-door campaign is being conducted over the next two days to ensure that no child is left unvaccinated from polio vaccination. During the campaign, camps were set up specifically at bus stands and crowded areas to administer the vaccine to children from traveling families. Health workers also raised awareness among parents about the importance of polio eradication.
